This is where in-home care comes into the picture – providing help with everything from housework, meals and personal care, to assistance getting out and about for social activities. Read more here.

Delightful Destinations - Flinders Ranges and South Australian outback South Australia is the driest state in the driest continent on earth. But this is a good thing – it is unlikely to rain on your holiday, and the flora, fauna, and desert features that are the result of this change from sea to desert are utterly fascinating. Fit & Well – Exercise and Pregnancy Women often ask if they should continue their usual exercise in pregnancy. In general, yes! Exercise in pregnancy is good as it promotes muscle tone, strength and endurance. It helps prepare for the stress of labour and can make it easier to get back into shape after your baby is born. Being active can reduce the discomfort of backache, fatigue and constipation and can even help you sleep better. However, it is best to talk to your doctor at the beginning of your pregnancy to discuss what exercise is suitable for you. Read more here from Performance Body Works.
Here are some Autumn tips for the garden: • Autumn is the best season for planting in the Australian garden. Far better to start plants in April (the middle of autumn), and let them settle in gently through the cooler months. • There is still time to get the garden tidy before winter. This means cutting back long stems and neatening over-exuberant growth. In all but the coldest areas (where it is better to wait until spring), hedges can be given their final trim for the season. • Weeds are some of the worst pests in the autumn garden. Make sure you get rid of weeds before they go to seed. Remove and bin seed heads before throwing weed carcasses into the compost. • April is the month for falling leaves, especially with most of the deciduous trees in the middle of their annual leaf drop. They make wonderful mulch, so pile them onto garden beds where they will form an insulating blanket and an ideal soil improver. Read more great tips here.

Welcome The days are getting shorter and air cooler as we settle into autumn. Once again the next month is full of activities with children returning to school, Jewish Passover commencing and Mothers Day ahead of us in May. As an all-Australian and family-owned business I would like to make special mention of ANZAC Day. This year marks the 93rd Anniversary of the Gallipoli landing. It was a campaign resulting in the deaths of over 8,000 Australians and in the creation of an enduring ANZAC legend. We commemorate this event with special sadness as we remember those that went before us and those who continue peacekeeping around the world today. Their courage allows us to live in peace and freedom today. Lest we forget
Until next month, Danielle Robertson CEO, DIAL-AN-ANGEL Pty Limited |
